Tim & Mark have proudly toured many factories / manufacturing facilities where they discussed the Upgrades of Pumps on offer with the Senior Management at those chosen manufacturing establishments.  This is even for the most basic of Pumps.

Mark respectfully demanded the inferior bearings used in 99% of all Pumps NOT be used and demanded the German Designed – German Family Owned ( Schaeffler Technologies AG and Co. ) – German Made FAG Roller Bearings be used.  This enhanced quality and product life-cycles.

FAG have manufacturing plants around the Globe – and are currently building a Manufacturing facility in China!  The key here is no matter where they are made, they are made to a MINIMUM STANDARD as set by the German Head Office and Engineering Departments of Schaeffler Technologies AG and Co.

Mark also requested either stainless steel unions or brass unions if needed between the Pump Body and the Auto Pressure Controller instead of the cheaper plastic unions used on many Pumps where the importer specifies cheap and won’t spend a little more for the BEST MONEY CAN BUY.

The same with Impellers wherever possible, and they have been / will be upgraded from PPO ( Plastic ) to Stainless Steel. Some Impellers like in the smaller VORTEX – Peripheral Pumps are made of Brass and that’s OK – no need to change – SOLID Brass will outlast Plastic –Technopolymer -PPO any day.

Upgrades have also been ordered for the Mechanical Seals wherever possible rather than use cheap Mechanical Seals to save a few bucks.  The wear factor in those cheap parts is astounding – no wonder they only have a 1 Year Warranty from the IMPORTER ! –

If cheap importers don’t want to risk exposure, drama and financial loss by an extended warranty – why would you ? Remember – CHEAP does not mean GOOD.

Mark has specified the MTU Brand for our seals.  These seals are Italian Owned – Italian Designed with manufacturing plants around the Globe – including Asia- but they are of the design and QUALITY overseen by the Worlds #1 and BEST by Meccanotecnica Umbra S.p.a. – The MTU Group.

By doing this, QUALITY rises way beyond offerings by many and most – and sure it costs more money – but we don’t on-charge those costs by unreasonable multiples but cover our additional costs.  We do not charge as others do with some outrageous List Pricing we have observed in the market.

The days of excessive marking-up of the cost of landed goods are OVER. In Mark’s honest opinion a 3 to 4 times & sometimes even a 5 X cost as a mark-up or more, is simply outrageous  !

Tim & Mark have proudly toured many factories / manufacturing facilities where they discussed the Upgrades of Pumps on offer with the Senior Management at those chosen manufacturing establishments.  This is even for the most basic of Pumps.

Mark respectfully demanded the inferior bearings used in 99% of all Pumps NOT be used and demanded the German Designed – German Family Owned ( Schaeffler Technologies AG and Co. ) – German Made FAG Roller Bearings be used.  This enhanced quality and product life-cycles.

FAG have manufacturing plants around the Globe – and are currently building a Manufacturing facility in China!  The key here is no matter where they are made, they are made to a MINIMUM STANDARD as set by the German Head Office and Engineering Departments of Schaeffler Technologies AG and Co.

Mark also requested either stainless steel unions or brass unions if needed between the Pump Body and the Auto Pressure Controller instead of the cheaper plastic unions used on many Pumps where the importer specifies cheap and won’t spend a little more for the BEST MONEY CAN BUY.

The same with Impellers wherever possible, and they have been / will be upgraded from PPO ( Plastic ) to Stainless Steel. Some Impellers like in the smaller VORTEX – Peripheral Pumps are made of Brass and that’s OK – no need to change – SOLID Brass will outlast Plastic –Technopolymer -PPO any day.

Upgrades have also been ordered for the Mechanical Seals wherever possible rather than use cheap Mechanical Seals to save a few bucks.  The wear factor in those cheap parts is astounding – no wonder they only have a 1 Year Warranty from the IMPORTER ! –

If cheap importers don’t want to risk exposure, drama and financial loss by an extended warranty – why would you ? Remember – CHEAP does not mean GOOD.

Mark has specified the MTU Brand for our seals.  These seals are Italian Owned – Italian Designed with manufacturing plants around the Globe – including Asia- but they are of the design and QUALITY overseen by the Worlds #1 and BEST by Meccanotecnica Umbra S.p.a. – The MTU Group.

By doing this, QUALITY rises way beyond offerings by many and most – and sure it costs more money – but we don’t on-charge those costs by unreasonable multiples but cover our additional costs.  We do not charge as others do with some outrageous List Pricing we have observed in the market.

Have no doubt, a quality product can be found throughout Asia if governed by correct specifications, on-site management, and stringent quality control processes – but you should not have to pay a King’s Ransom to secure quality product from Asia.

Mark said- “It ain’t Rocket Science – it’s just being fair, not greedy, sharing the value all-round.  It’s also decent, respectful and basic common sense – if not good Karma.

You only get one chance at taking a Pump Dealer for a fool he said- besides its just bad Karma if you have done the wrong thing it will come back and bite.

Mark said, “This is where we here at Aquatica Water Pumps kick massive goals in securing significant volumes of business where everybody wins. We do not mislead or treat our customers as fools hiding behind brand-names for either ours, or the pump companies’ significant profit which feeds the Fat Cats.

The days of excessive marking-up of the cost of landed goods are OVER. In Mark’s honest opinion a 3 to 4 times & sometimes even a 5 X cost as a mark-up or more, is simply outrageous  !

Here at AQUATICA Water Pumps, it’s a Win-Win scenario where everyone on the supply chain are all happy, no one gets hurt and ALL receive a fair deal … or NOT AT ALL !

  • We ARE & will continue to aim to be a Boutique Low Cost Operator offering QUALITY as good as the most famous Brands all while offering keen pricing.
  • We have ZERO intent on being the largest, yet we are FOCUSED & DRIVEN on being the BEST VALUE for MONEY – 2nd to NONE !
  • WE will NEVER chase a customer offering “…same –same but we are $5.00 Cheaper…” as the pitch – the market is full of that junk !
  • WE clearly understand that NO Wholesaler, Retailer et al is going to sever long-standing ties to Brands and Relationships to save $5.00-$10.00 a pump.
  • We DON’T DO CHEAP – CHEAP is NOT QUALITY – Cheap is for the Bottom Feeders on eBay, Gumtree, Bunnings and ALDI et al.

Our theory is to reduce pricing for TOP SHELF QUALITY and to sell larger volume of units – a true WIN-WIN-WIN scenario. You the Water Pump Dealer WINS, your valued Customer WINS – and frankly we also have a WIN.

It’s a TEAM effort where nobody is taken for, nor treated as a dope & the really exciting aspect of it all – NOBODY gets pinched, or hurt financially.

In our interview with Mark where we were preparing to write about AQUATICA Water Pumps – Mark as a true entrepreneur said .. “We quite possibly may send a shock-waves the coming Years across the Australian & New Zealand Water Pump Importation and Distribution marketplace and that would be OK with me.”

Mark said he is thinking of doing a “Pauline Hanson Video “..you know the one that’s goes where she says – If you are viewing this and I am dead – he laughs again. The life of a disruptor ain’t easy – but can be fun if you twist it that way.
